Fibrewales have been confirmed as the first customer and service provider to connect to the Fibrespeed network.
The contract for service was signed prior to Christmas 2008 and work is now well underway to deliver fibre into the companys offices in St Asaph providing high speed connectivity for the administrative and technical staff for Fibrewales and it's sister company Hosting UK.
In addition the company has also taken significant backhaul capacity across the entire network terminating in Manchester where it will connect to the rest of the Hosting UK national network infrastructure. With the backhaul in Fibrewales is now able to provide connectivity solutions to customers across North Wales.
The Managing Director of Internet Engineering Ltd said "We're delighted to be the first service provider to connect to the new fibre network. It will of course be of great benefit for our own business in linking us directly to our own network backbone, however in making the investment to take connectivity across the network we are now perfectly positioned to begin delivering quality high speed services of not just internet but also other data communications links into the North Wales region."
